Volunteers will spiff up marsh rock site Saturday

Volunteers are needed to clean Na Pohaku o Hauwahine, a giant rock outcropping in Kawai Nui Marsh, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, on Kapa'a Quarry Road about one mile from Kalaniana'ole Highway.

Participants should dress to weed, haul mulch and water plants. Bring gloves, cutting or digging tools, water and a snack.

Contact Kaimi Scudder at 593-0112 or email@ahahui.net. To register as a service project, e-mail Malia Helela at hemanumalia@hotmail.com.

The project is supported by a grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
