Light winds from the south and southeast will prevail through Saturday as rain falls on Oahu and a cold front approaches the islands from the northwest, The National Weather Service said.

These winds will keep vog across most of the state through Saturday morning at the least.

Scattered showers were being reported Oahu this morning.

The front will likely move over Kauai late Saturday, and stall near Oahu on Sunday, forecasters said.

Breezy trade winds will build over all islands Sunday and Monday.

The trades are expected to be wetter than normal next week when the front eventually dissipates over windward coastal waters.
