Detectives from the Hawaii Police Department's Criminal Investigations Section yesterday arrested Robert Scales, 25, of Hilo at the University of Hawaii at Hilo on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening after he allegedly posted what was perceived as a threatening message on an Internet Web site.

Responding officers removed Scales from a classroom on campus and took him into custody without incident. He is being held at Hilo police cellblock pending additional investigation.
