Stormy weather closes Napali State Park

Advertiser Staff

The State Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks has suspended the issuance of permits for the Napali Coast State Park Kalalau Trail on Kauai today because of the poor weather conditions.

The suspension is for both for camping and day use hiking.

Under the current weather conditions the trail will be slippery and the streams may flood.

The park caretaker will check the Kalalau trail on Wednesday morning. Permits will again be issued starting on Wednesday, Nov. 19, if weather conditions have improved. For information call the Division of State Parks office at (808) 274-3444
