Kekaha bottle redemption center closed today

The Kekaha Landfill bottle redemption center on Kauai is closed today because of problems with the scale that weighs recycled materials. The center is scheduled to reopen on Saturday.

Normal operating hours at the Kekaha center are Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8 a.m.to 4 p.m., with no break for lunch.

The nearest bottle redemption center to Kekaha that is open today is located next to the Lawa'i Post Office. Normal operating hours at the Lawa'i center are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

Also open until 5 p.m. today is the redemption center next to Nawiliwili Harbor.
