Workers with the city's Department of Parks and Recreation load a 50-foot Norfolk pine harvested from Marie Rose Perry's 'Aiea home. The tree will join Honolulu Hale's colorful holiday landscaping.

A Norfolk Pine that was harvested from the front yard of a home in 'Aiea yesterday will rise again on the front lawn of Honolulu Hale tomorrow.

The tree belonged to Marie Rose Perry, whose father gave her the tree, a city news release said.

Perry's son-in-law, Sterling Ohia, is a former Honolulu Police Department motorcycle officer who has escorted the city's harvested Christmas tree in the past.
