Surf is rising to 7 to 9 feet today along north-facing shores, the National Weather Service said.

The rough, short-period surf along east facing shores is dropping steadily today to 3 to 5 feet. Surf will also be 3 to 5 along west-facing shores, and 2 feet or less along south shores.

A moderate reinforcing swell from the north-northwest is expected over the weekend.
