Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii is offering 1,000 discounted room packages in an online auction to benefit food banks on all islands.

The "Big Give Hawaii" online auction will have spa treatments for purchase.

Starwood's properties include Sheraton and Westin hotels and resorts on O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island, as well as the W Honolulu Diamond Head. The minimum bids start as low as $80 a night and 20 percent of the proceeds will be used to feed the hungry.

Winning bidders must show proof of residency and travel between Dec. 8 and Jan. 31, 2009.

The online auction runs through Nov. 30 at www.biggivehawaii.com.
