Prosecutors yesterday charged a Kalihi man with the Nov. 12 robbery of a convenience store.

Jayson-Abel L. Pana Jr., 18, of an Ahonui Street address is accused of first-degree robbery with bail at $30,000. He has a District Court appearance scheduled today.

Numerous tips identifying Pana as the suspect were received by Honolulu CrimeStoppers after surveillance photos of the robbery at Fastop, on 2011 N. School St., was released to the media Monday, police said.

Pana surrendered Wednesday at the Kalihi police station at 12:25 p.m.
