World champions BJ Penn of Hilo and Georges St-Pierre of Canada will appear at a press conference/public rally today put on by the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization.

The event will be held at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Doors open at 4 p.m., and admission is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free UFC T-shirt.

It was originally scheduled for the Waikiki Shell, but was moved to the Blaisdell because of predicted rain.

Penn is the UFC's lightweight (155 pounds) world champion, and St-Pierre is the UFC's welterweight (170) world champion. They will meet on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas for the welterweight title.

Today's event is scheduled to run from around 5 to 7 p.m., and will include musical entertainment by J-Boogs and Fiji, and video highlights of Penn and St-Pierre.
