'Iao Valley State Park on Maui will be closed this weekend because of weather forecasts showing potential for landslides and flash floods in the area.

In addition, all permits to Polipoli Springs State Park have been canceled for this weekend, according to the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, which over sees the state park system.

Makena State Park will remain open unless DLNR enforcement officers determine a closure is needed for public safety. And, Waianapanapa State Park will remain open for now.
