The Honolulu Marathon Clinic will host its 34th annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day at Kapi'olani Park.

The event has an unusual twist: runners will be asked to predict their time over the 10-mile course. Each runner is given a tongue depressor blade on which they write their name and their predicted finish time to the second. At the finish line, the blades are collected and times listed. Those closest to their times will receive prizes. Hence, no watches, GPS devices, cell phones or headphones are allowed during the race.

Registration begins at the park's bandstand at 6:30 a.m. The cost is $3 per runner. The race will begin when registration is complete.
