A 15-year-old girl was attacked by three teenagers in a Kailua park Thursday afternoon, police said.

The girl was pulled to the ground and punched by a 15-year-old girl. She was punched in her ribs by another 15-year-old girl who also tried to steal her backpack, police said. And the third teen, a 16-year-old boy, took her cell phone and some cash.

The three teenagers fled the area in a car, but the girl provided the license plate number to the police who found the three teenagers and arrested them on investigation of robbery in the second degree.

The case is pending further investigation by police.
