Suspect arrested in Nov. 15 stabbing of cab driver

Advertiser Staff

A suspect turned himself in and was arrested Friday in the Nov. 15 stabbing and robbery of a cab driver in Manoa, police said.

According to details in a police report, two men, one in his mid-20s and the other in his mid-40s, had flagged the driver, 54, in Makiki and asked him to take them to Manoa Valley. Once at their destination, the older customer asked the driver for change and pulled out a knife, the police report said. The driver and the suspect struggled and the driver was stabbed several times, the report said. The men then fled from the cab.

The driver was initially taken to a hospital in serious condition.

A second suspect is still at large.
