TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving," 7 p.m., Hallmark Channel. Before her "Little Women" novel brought fame, Louisa May Alcott wrote short stories. Now this one has been expanded.

A rich woman gets a letter, supposedly from her estranged daughter, who says her husband was taken by gypsies. In truth, this was written by a granddaughter; it causes two strong women to collide.

Alcott's story is the weakest element. The real strength is in the rich production values.

Jacqueline Bisset stars, but the others — including talented director Graeme Campbell — are Canadian. Using beautiful Quebec settings, they've crafted a solid period piece.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:29 p.m., NBC. The show keeps piling up new episodes. This one is hosted by Tim McGraw, with music by Ludacris and T-Pain.

"JFK" (1991), 6 p.m., AMC; "The Kennedy Assassination: Beyond Conspiracy," 10 p.m., History Channel. Marking the 45th anniversary of John Kennedy's assassination, a cable channel has a documentary and AMC has Oliver Stone's fascinating (despite its excesses) movie.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 7 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, the victims have green blood.

"Knight Rider," 7 p.m., NBC. In a quick rerun, Mike goes undercover to stop money launderers.

"Lost City Raiders," 7 p.m., Sci Fi. Forty years in the future, global warming has left much of the world afloat. A team searches for an ancient artifact that could help. James Brolin and Ian Somerhalder (Boone on "Lost") star.

"Naked Brothers Band: Operation Mojo," 7 p.m., Nickelodeon. Here's a one-hour movie from the likable Naked Brothers Band. Alex tries to perk up his love-struck brother with a trip to the wilderness.

"Criminal Minds," 8 p.m., CBS. A teen couple has been killed in smalltown Texas.

"Once Upon a Christmas" (8 p.m., 2000) and "Twice Upon a Christmas" (10 p.m., 2001), ABC Family. Kathy Ireland plays Santa's daughter in both of these pleasant movies, which debuted on the Pax network.
