Wind advisory canceled for Oahu

Advertiser Staff

The National Weather Service has canceled a wind advisory for O'ahu and Moloka'i this morning, but wind advisories remain in effect for Kaho'olawe, Haleakala summit and many portions of the Big Island.

The wind advisories remain in effect until 6 tonight.

The weather service canceled the wind advisories for O'ahu and Moloka'i after gusty northwesterly winds subsided.

A surface trough that had been sitting east of Moloka'i is now drifting west, the weather service said.
