Large swell expected Thanksgiving Day

Advertiser Staff

A large northwest swell is expected to arrive late Thanksgiving Day and could bring advisory-level surf heights to north- and west-facing shores by Friday, possibly exceeding warning levels Friday night into Saturday.

Today, surf along east-facing shores is expected to rise to 4 to 6 feet and drop to 3 to 5 feet on north-facing shores, the National Weather Service said.

West-facing shores should see surf fall to 1 to 3 feet and south facing shores are expected to remain at 1 to 3 feet.
