BIG ISLAND
Historic Preservation Division moves to Hilo

The office of the State Historic Preservation Division on the Big Island has moved to 40 Po'okela St. in Hilo.

For general information on the state historic review process, "no effect" letters and other historic-preservation matters, call the office at 808-933-7653. The office fax number is 808-933-7655.

The SHPD-Hawai'i Island staff includes Theresa Donham, lead archaeologist; Morgan Davis, assistant archaeologist; and Analu Josephides, cultural historian.

Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Officials asked visitors to call in advance to make an appointment because staff conduct field inspections and may be out of the office periodically.
