Surf: 5 to 8 feet expected on North Shore today

Surf along north facing shores will be 5 to 8 feet through today, according to the National Weather Service surf report.

Elsewhere on O'ahu, expect surf of 3 to 6 feet along west-facing shores, 4 to 6 feet along east-facing shores and 1 to 3 feet along south-facing shores.

Outlook through Monday, Dec. 1: Moderate northwest swells will continue through Thursday. A very large northwest swell will build on Friday, likely keeping surf above advisory levels along north and west shores through the weekend.

On Saturday, peak surf heights with this swell will be near warning levels along north and west shores. Another large northwest swell will build late Monday.
