Overhead line problem caused Aiea outage

A malfunction in an overhead line on Kamehameha Highway triggered a power outage tonight in the area of McGrew Point in 'Aiea.

The outage reported at 6:15 p.m. affected about 260 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers. Power was restored to 200 customers within an hour after the outage was reported and to all others by 9:12 p.m., said HECO spokesperson Jan Loose.
