CECILY FREITAS JOHNSTON, co-founder and vice-president of Pacific Construction Company, died Nov. 13, 2008. A Sacred Hearts Academy alumna and patron of the arts who entertained the famous, the firm she founded with her brother, George, built the Ilikai Hotel and Foster Towers. Her father, Henry Freitas, was responsible for the construction of The Hawaii Newspaper Agency Building and the Saint Louis College (Chaminade/Saint Louis) campus. Survived by sons, Stanton and Donald; sister, Genevieve Trout; stepchildren, Diane Paton and David Johnston; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
