Weather: Sunny, but hazy, conditions today

On this Black Friday, we can expect light southeasterly winds today and tonight as a shear line approaches Kauai from the northwest, the National Weather Service said.

This shear line will likely bring increasing clouds, showers and breezy conditions to Kauai starting late tonight and Saturday morning, and to Oahu by Saturday afternoon, according to the forecast.

Partly cloudy skies and isolated showers can be expected elsewhere across the state Saturday. After a brief period of trades on Sunday, light southerly winds are expected to return to the islands again on Monday as a new front approaches Kauai from the northwest.

Here's a closer look at the next few days:

Today: Widespread haze. Sunny, with a high near 81. East wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight: Scattered showers after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind between 13 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind between 10 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: Scattered showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Isolated showers. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
