Keiki Swap Meet set for this Saturday

Honolulu, HI-The Children's Discovery Center's Keiki Swap Meet will be held this Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10a.m. - 1p.m. in the Kaka'ako Gateway Park, directly across the street from the Center.

The event is both educational and fun and is designed to teach children the value of money, economics, and trade in a "hands-on" way, organizers said.

Children have been collecting their items for sale, pricing each carefully for a quick sale.

Buyers can find some extraordinarily reasonably priced items for holiday gifts or stocking stuffers, and sellers can earn their own money to spend for Christmas giving.

This event is free for buyers and open to the public. Shopping at the Keiki Swap Meet is a wonderful way to support young entrepreneurs and a great way to find children's items at kid-friendly prices, organizers said.

Call 524-KIDS for more information, or visit the Center's website at www.discoverycenterhawaii.org.

The Children's Discovery Center is located at 111 Ohe Street in downtown Honolulu. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Parking is free at the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park.
