Keiki Swap Meet, halau fundraiser set for today after last weekend's rains

Kids learn the value of money and how to trade at the Keiki Swap Meet, happening today at Kaka'ako Gateway Park.

Last weekend's heavy rain washed out a couple of events, which are rescheduled for today:

  • The Children's Discovery Center's Keiki Swap Meet, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kaka'ako Gateway Park, is designed to help kids learn the value of money.

    Youngsters will be selling their gently used clothing and toys, handling all transactions. Admission for buyers is free. 524-5437.

  • Halau 'O Kaululaua'e's fundraiser, from 5:30 p.m. at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, features performances by the halau, Kupaoa, Holunape, Hoku Zuttermeister and Weldon Kekauoha, food, crafts and keiki games. Admission is $15 general, free for kids under 6. 398-4461.
