Weather: Mostly sunny with a few passing showers

A high pressure area is nearly stationary to the north of the state, resulting in the standard trade wind weather pattern with passing trade showers affecting primarily windward and mauka areas, the National Weather Service said.

Little change is expected through the weekend and into next week, forecasters said.

Here's a more detailed look and what to expect today and into the weekend:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Isolated showers before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
