U.S. Reps. Neil Abercrombie and Mazie Hirono say they are still reviewing the latest $700 billion financial industry bailout and haven't decided whether to support it.

The House is scheduled to vote today on a new version of the bill, which passed the Senate on Wednesday with a 74-25 vote. Hawai'i's senators voted in favor of it.

Abercrombie and Hirono, both Hawai'i Democrats, voted against the original House bailout bill on Monday.

In an e-mail message to The Associated Press yesterday, Hirono said she strongly supports many of the provisions in the Senate bill. However, she was disappointed that even stronger taxpayer protections and direct assistance to struggling homeowners weren't included.
