Waipahu surprises Wai'anae

Troy Matautia ran for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw the go-ahead 34-yard TD pass to Joshua Lacar as visiting Waipahu upset No. 3 Wai'anae, 28-15, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red West game.

Matautia, who entered the game as the state's leading rusher, ran for scores of 60, 10 and 5 yards at Raymond Torii Stadium. Wai'anae's Danny Kekoanui finished with 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
