The family of Iokepa Liptak, the 8-week-old baby who was killed when the family's mixed-breed dog bit him, has set up a fund in the baby's name.

Anyone wishing to make donations may contact the West O'ahu Community Federal Credit Union at its Wai'anae Mall location, 86-120 Farrington Highway, suite B205 or by calling 682-3511.

The baby was killed just after midnight on Sunday when the family's dog hopped on the bed where the baby lay sleeping and attacked the infant.

The dog belonged to the baby's great-aunt Opal Sao, who lived with the baby and his mother. The Hawaiian Humane Society took possession of the dog and euthanized it on Monday.

Services are pending.
