Volunteers are needed for a Kalihi Stream cleanup and tree planting Saturday at the new city bus facility, at 611 Middle St.

The mayor and others will head up tree planting, which will be followed by a stream cleanup at various points along the waterway.

The event runs from 8 to 11 a.m.

Volunteers should be at least age 12 and wear covered shoes.

The city will provide supplies, T-shirts, educational materials and refreshments.
