Now's the time to get tickets to the 2010 Winter Olympics
No sooner does the excitement of one Olympics settle than sports fans set their sights on the next — the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. CoSport, the official company sanctioned to sell tickets to Americans, invites ticket seekers to apply online through Nov. 7; tickets for single events and packages are available. There are no guarantees.
Tickets are allocated between mid-November and mid-December. Stadium event seating assignments, however, won't be made until next year. A sample of ticket prices at www.cosport.com for the 15 Olympic events range from $678 to $1,294 for the opening ceremony at BC Place stadium (high demand); $41 to $114 for luge events (low demand); $88 to $202 for men's and women's qualifying, semi- and final snowboard events. Closing Ceremony tickets range from $398 to $930.
