Homeless awareness events planned in November around Islands

As part of National Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week, there will be a Hawai'i State Homeless Forum 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at Pacific Beach Hotel.

Other events:

• Nov. 19: Skip a Meal Day, donating the cost of the meal to your favorite charity.

• Nov. 20: Luncheon & Resource Fair for the Homeless and Hungry at Old Airport Pavilion, Kailua, Kona on the Big Island, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free meal, hygiene kits, clothing distribution, door prizes, haircuts and community information booths. (A similar event will be Nov. 22 at Wailoa.)

• Nov. 21: Homeless Awareness Candlelight Vigil at Wailoa State Park.
