PA'IA
Relief route project focus of Oct. 22 meeting

The proposed Pa'ia relief route project will be discussed at an Oct. 22 public informational meeting hosted by the state Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.

Project displays will be available for viewing at 5:30 p.m. at the Pa'ia Community Center, with a formal presentation at 6 p.m. Comments may be submitted at the meeting, by mail, or through the project Web site at www.paiareliefroute.com.

The relief route planning study will examine alternatives to address traffic congestion along Hana Highway in the vicinity of Pa'ia and preparation of an environmental document.
