LIHU'E
Garage shooting victim's name released by police

County officials have identified the 43-year-old victim of a Sunday shooting in Lihu'e as Antonio Torres. Torres' name had been withheld by authorities pending notification of relatives.

Police arrested Payton Allen Rapozo, 22, at the scene on suspicion of second-degree murder following the 2:50 p.m. shooting in the garage at Torres' Kawaihau Road home in Kapahi, authorities said. Torres was reportedly the boyfriend of Rapozo's mother. The shooting was the result of an argument between the two men, said Police Chief Darryl Perry.

Police recovered a .22-caliber revolver that's believed to be the murder weapon, Perry said.
