'EWA BEACH
Habitat for Humanity taking home applications

Families interested in applying for a Habitat for Humanity home are encouraged to attend the application orientation meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 'Ewa Beach.

Habitat for Humanity Leeward O'ahu partners with families that are ready for the responsibility and challenges of homeownership, but would not qualify for a traditional mortgage.

Currently the Leeward Habitat affiliate does not have land available to build on and can only partner with families that have land.

Anyone who has a steady income, earns 50 percent or less than the median area income, has land, and is willing to complete 500 hours of sweat equity is eligible.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is at 91-1004 North Road. Call Habitat for Humanity Leeward O'ahu's office at 696-7882 or visit www.leewardhabitat.org for more information.
