Kaimuki field gets makeover

Advertiser Staff

With generous help from the community, the Kaimuki High School baseball team will complete the finishing touches on its new field.

Today, the Bulldogs complete months of renovation work to their infield. Youth baseball teams from the Continental Amateur Baseball Association, along with assistance from the Champion Edge Foundation, have been helping in the past months. Kaimuki alum Danny Green donated sod for infield repairs.

Green, manager of Southern Turf International, is a 1976 graduate and the donation is valued at more than $2,000.

Kaimuki High players and coaches and representatives from Southern Turf and CABA Hawai'i will complete the renovation and sodding of the infield today at 11:15 a.m.
