Surf: 3-5 feet expected along east-facing shores

Surf along the east-facing shores of O'ahu will be 3 to 5 feet through today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along north- and south-facing shores and 1 to 2 feet along west-facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, Oct. 21: A small northwest swell from 320 degrees is expected to fill in Thursday night, peak on Friday, then slowly lower through the weekend.

Another small northwest swell from 320 degrees may arrive Sunday night or Monday, then linger into Tuesday.

Small background swells from the south will continue throughout the forecast period, with a slightly larger swell from 190 degrees possibly filling in Friday, peaking on Saturday, then slowly lowering into early next week.

Short period east swells will continue throughout the forecast period.
