Advertiser Staff

LIHUE – The University of Hawai'i and Apple Inc. are sponsoring eWaste Disposal Days on Kauai on Oct. 24 for businesses and Oct. 25 for residents.

The recycling event will be held at Kaua'i Community College from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.

Examples of items that will be accepted include computer monitors, CPUs, CD-ROM/DVD drives, keyboards, laptop computers, speakers, televisions, VCRs, printers, scanners, and FAX machines.

A detailed list of acceptable and unacceptable items can be found at www.hawaii.edu/ewaste.

Businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies that plan to participate in the eWaste Disposal Day should pre-register online before Friday, Oct. 24, at www.hawaii.edu/ewaste/inst.php#register.

Pre-registration is not required for residents to take part in the recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 25.
