Free keiki ID cards available Oct. 25 in Pearl Kai

Advertiser Staff

Parents of children 12 and younger can get a free keiki ID card from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the McDonald's restaurant in Pearl Kai Shopping Center.

The keiki ID card includes the child's photo and fingerprints and important contact information. In emergencies, the card can aid police.

"The keiki ID card should give parents the peace of mind knowing that they have all the appropriate information the police need in the event of an emergency," said State Rep. K. Mark Takai, the project coordinator.

In addition to Takai, the event is sponsored by state Sens. David Ige, Donna Mercado Kim, Clarence Nishihara and Norman Sakamoto, and state Reps. Blake Oshiro and Roy Takumi, as well as Chevron and the Pearl Kai McDonald's restaurant.
