Clay to sign 'Wheaties' boxes at Kahala Mall

Advertiser Staff

Olympic gold medal winner Bryan Clay will be at the Kahala Mall Longs Drugs to autograph the new Wheaties cereal box featuring his photo from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The limited-edition Wheaties boxes can be purchased at Longs Drugs on Sunday for $2.99 plus tax; there is no charge for the autographs. The line for autographs will begin at the Longs Drugs entrance of Kahala Mall, between Aveda and Champs Sports. The limit is one signature per person and no personal photographs may be taken.

Clay was raised in Hawai'i and graduated from Castle High School in Kane'ohe.

He has been referred to as the "world's greatest all-around athlete" after winning the gold medal in the decathlon event in Beijing this past August.

Clay is one of only two U.S. medal winners from the Beijing games to have his likeness featured on a Wheaties box; the other was gymnast Nastia Lukin. Clay was also a guest on the David Letterman show in August following his gold medal win.
