TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Living Proof," 6 p.m., Lifetime; reruns at 5 p.m. Sunday. For 16 years, Dr. Dennis Slamon kept his research alive. Bucking trends, he developed a drug that can help one-fourth of all breast cancer patients. It's a great story, but the key here was getting the human dimension. Harry Connick Jr. gives a passionate performance as Slamon. The film has strong actresses (Tammy Blanchard, Bernadette Peters, etc.) as his patients and adds humor with Amanda Bynes as an aide. Yes, humor. Through waves of tragedy, "Living Proof" becomes a feel-good movie.

TODAY'S ODDITY

"Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling" debut, 11 a.m., CMT, Oceanic Digital Channel 587. A mixed batch of people try wrestling moves. Some are scary, including Dennis Rodman, Danny Bonaduce and ButterBean. Others? Little fear is struck by former pop singer Tiffany or Dustin Diamond, who was Screech on "Saved By the Bell."

OF NOTE

"Project Runway" (5 p.m.) and "Notting Hill" (1999), 6 p.m., Bravo. First is a rerun of the "Runway" finale. Then is a pleasantly low-key romantic comedy. Julia Roberts plays a movie star, which she is in real life; Hugh Grant plays a shy book-seller, which he isn't.

"America's Toughest Jobs," 7 p.m., NBC. This show is fond of Alaska, sending its people there to drive a truck and mine for gold. Now the five remaining contestants return to learn search-and-rescue work.

"CSI:NY," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, police study the life of a guidance counselor, killed in the science lab.

"My Own Worst Enemy," 8 p.m., NBC. Here's a quick rerun of the first episode. The plot is an extreme stretch, with an ordinary dad unaware that he's sometimes a superspy. Still, Christian Slater does well in this double role, ranging from action to humor.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. Investigating a break-in, Stabler finds that his daughter is a prime suspect.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:29 p.m., NBC. Josh Brolin hosts, with music by Adele.
