Advertiser Staff

The Waipio Little League world champions and University of Hawaii diver Emma Friesen will be honored during Saturday's UH football game against Nevada at Aloha Stadium.

Game time is 6:05 p.m.

The Waipio team, which beat Mexico to win the world title in Williamsport, Pa., will greet fans at the Warrior Activity Tent (in front of the stadium ticket office) prior to the game and will be honored at halftime.

NCAA diving champion Friesen will be presented with the WAC's highest honor, the Joe Kearney Award, during the game.

Also, Hawaiian Telcom, the game's sponsor, will distribute 10,000 pompoms and provide prizes for the on-field promotional activities.
