Meeting looks at issues for the legislative session

Lawmakers, advocates and others will gather at Harris United Methodist Church today to discuss issues of interest for the upcoming legislative session.

The gathering and luncheon, which is open to the public, is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Miyama Main Hall.

Key topics include campaign reform, caregiver support, affordable housing, universal healthcare, kupuna care, and long-term care.

A $5 donation is requested for lunch.

The event is organized by the Kokua Council, which seeks to empower seniors in shaping the future.
