UH students to host bone-marrow donor drive

Students at the University of Hawai'i will be hosting a bone marrow donor drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Campus Center to help find a match for Krissy Kobata, who was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

MDS is a blood disorder that affects the body's production of bone marrow.

Asians, Pacific Islanders and mixed races are in need of donors as well as anyone else who is interested in registering in the Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry.

Anyone who cannot attend, please contact Hawaii Bone Marrow Registry at the Hawaii Medical Center at 547-6154.
