Kahuku library to mark 40 years

Kahuku Public and School Library will celebrate 40 years in operation next month with a party and events throughout November.

The party from 2:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 18 will feature musicians, dancers, food and emcees Sam Langi and Benny Kai.

Other events include Keiki Story Time at 10 a.m. each Wednesday and After School Club at 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays when school is in session.

The Book Club will discuss "Blindness" by Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago at

1 p.m. Nov. 12. And Liz Requilman will teach flower arrangements for the holidays at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25.

All activities are free. For more information call the library at 293-8935.

The library will be closed Nov. 4, 11 and 27.
