Waianae assault suspects in court this morning

Advertiser Staff

Two Waianae men will be making their initial court appearance in District Court this morning after being charged yesterday with first-degree assault in connection with a beating early Saturday that left a 29-year-old man in critical condition.

Curtis Rivera, 23, and Jordan Ashley Simmons, 21, also known as Jordan Simpio, were being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

They are accused of punching and kicking a man in the parking lot of the Waimaha Apartments, 85-186 McArthur St. in Wai'anae, about 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
