Interfaith peace event slated for Sunday

The Hawai'i Conference of Religions for Peace's annual interfaith gathering, Prayers for Peace, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the Gedatsu Church, 6095 Summer St.

Co-sponsored by The Interfaith Alliance Hawai'i, 17 different faiths will offer prayers. Harriet Natsuyama will discuss "The Physics of Peace" in the keynote, and on display will be the Gedatsu Church's "Cup-full of Peace Project" of personalized messages of peace on 100 ceramic cups will be on display. Anita Hall will entertain at the free event, which will end with a reception. Attendees can bring non-perishable food items for donations.
