Sacred Hearts Academy offers free 'goodness' programs for teachers, parents

Sacred Hearts Academy is offering two free "goodness" programs with Usha Balamore at the school, 3253 Waialae Ave.

Balamore is the director of character education at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Penn., and the co-author of "Teaching Goodness: Engaging the Moral and Academic Promise of Children."

The free programs are:

• "Teachers — How to be your best and how to bring out the best in every student," 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

• "Parents—Bringing out the Best in Your Child," 6 p.m. Wednesday.
