Surveillance videos nab Waikiki hotel guests stealing

Advertiser Staff

Two men, ages 35 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft Tuesday night after allegedly trying to steal computers from a Waikiki hotel they were staying at.

Police said the suspects entered the hospitality room at the Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel and allegedly took an HP computer, which included the monitor keyboard, mouse and a CPU.

The theft was captured on a surveillance video.

Patrol officers obtained a "consent to search" form for the suspects' hotel room and located the missing computer items before arresting the suspects.
