Food drive to benefit Maui Food Bank

Advertiser Staff

Snorkel Bob's is handing out free T-shirts to those who drop off five nonperishable food items at its stores in Kihei and West Maui.

The food drive will benefit the Maui Food Bank, which has seen a 20 percent drop in donations at the same time the demand for help is rising.

Snorkel Bob's Napili store manager Allen Schipper said the food drive was inspired by the many customers headed back to the Mainland who ask what to do with extra food they purchased while visiting Maui.

Food items may be dropped off through Thanksgiving Day during regular store hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, at the Kamaole Shopping Center and Azeka Shopping Center in Kihei, at 180 Dickenson St. in Lahaina and at Napili Village.
