ALOHA PACIFIC CREDIT UNION

Aloha Pacific Credit Union has announced a number of promotions:

CaMmie Furoyama has been promoted to IRA administrator. She will maintain and coordinate the credit union's IRA programs, life savings/loan protection claims, student loan program and trust accounts.

Jamie Spencer has been promoted to Hawai'i Kai branch supervisor. She will be responsible for the direct supervision of day-to-day operations and the training of all staff at the branch.

Jo Ann Tatsuyama has been promoted to senior branch manager. She will have financial and operational responsibility for the main and Hawai'i Kai branches where she will administer the branch, supervise the staff and supervise customer service.

Joy Rafael has been promoted to branch development manager. Her duties include responsibility for all operational aspects of opening new branches, managing a relief department and providing staffing support to branches when coverage is needed.

RIM ARCHITECTS

RIM Architects has appointed Eric Nelson to managing principal. Nelson returns to Hawai'i operations after spending more than 22 years working in RIM's Alaska, California, Guam and Hawai'i offices. His 30 years of experience includes government, military and private sector projects throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region.

GRASSROOT INSTITUTE OF HAWAII

The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii has named Pearl Hahn as a policy analyst. Hahn has held positions at the Department of Homeland Security and the Public Diplomacy Council.

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF APPRAISERS

The following appraisers were named as officers to the Hawaii Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers: president, Michael McEnerney of McEnerney Shimabukuro Okazaki & Fujita CPA's; vice president, Richard Dole of Dole Capital; treasurer and membership chair, Wayne Morioka, self-employed; secretary, Gary Kuba of GMK Consulting.

The American Society of Appraisers, representing more than 5,000 appraisers, is the only professional society that accredits appraisers in all six disciplines, including personal property, gems and jewelry, business valuation, real property, machinery and technical specialties, and appraisal review and management.

TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND

Kawika Burgess has joined the Trust for Public Land as its Hawaiian Islands Native Lands coordinator. He will focus on protecting lands that are important to Hawaiian communities and Hawaiian culture. The new position is the first time TPL's Tribal and Native Lands Program, based in Portland, Ore., is stationing full-time staff in a field office.

Burgess previously worked with 'Aha Punana Leo Hawaiian language immersion program, teaching and developing Hawaiian language curriculum. He later worked for Alu Like and the state Department of Human Services.

BATTLESHIP MISSOURI MEMORIAL

Johnna Ehmke has been appointed grants management program officer of the Battleship Missouri Memorial. She will be responsible for supporting the nonprofit's fundraising activities.

Ehmke was most recently advertising and promotions manager of the memorial. Before that, she served as channel communications manager at Hawaiian Telcom, marketing manager for AAA Hawaii and marketing communications manager at Comcast in Los Angeles.
